The Brown Bag Research Series offer the 校本 community a glimpse into emerging research, academic exploration and business analysis from H-E-B School of Business and Administration faculty.
These 60-minute presentations, held throughout the spring and fall semesters, cover a wide range of topics that delve into subjects as diverse as approaches to finance in international communities, value perceptions of new smart products, Catholic Social Teaching in business and healthcare cost models, 举几个例子.
The casual atmosphere is ideal for one-on-one and small group dialogue between presenters and attendees. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy during the mid-day presentations.

More on the topic: This paper proposes a new framework for categorizing digital offerings. Notions of ownership, access and control are explored. The Association between Strategic Group Membership and Hospital Financial Performance

More on the topic: The overall purpose of this paper was to identify the strategic group structure of the hospital industry and to examine the effect of strategic group membership on hospital financial performance. Our results suggested that hospitals with hybrid strategy outperform hospitals with cost-leadership strategy and stuck-in-the-middle. Absence of a coherent strategy (i.e., stuck-in-the-middle) is likely to lead to poor performance.
